Review on 🏍️ Kinstecks Motorcycle Indicators: Flowing Turn Signal Lights for Enhanced Motorbike Safety - 4PCS, 12V, 12 LEDs by Calvin Hodges

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap but well priced

I ordered two (out of four) of these bulbs to replace the original bulbs on my 2008 Buell Ulysses. The brackets on the two front blocks were worn and broke despite my attempts to repair them. I bought eight because the back two are running out of time and I needed parts when the new ones broke down. They work fine. When activated they have a nice "smooth" backlight, then stay constant until they turn off, then the cycle repeats. They have almost the same brightness as incandescent bulbs and are about half an inch shorter overall. They are easy to mount on the bike, only the original hole needs to be enlarged slightly to accommodate an M12x1.75 threaded mounting bar. I recommend a step drill. The pin lugs mounted on the bulbs are smaller than the Buell originals, so you'll need to buy some crimp pin chucks. There are two plugs - make sure they are connected correctly - if they are reversed the lamp will not work. My poor score for "easy to install" was due to the poor quality threads on the fasteners and nuts. Apparently they cut it with a worn out tool because the thread (again M12x1.75) is very "short", ie there isn't much outside diameter. Nuts are the same. Two of the eight I bought didn't snap the stems tight enough to thread through. In the end I decided on the two most suitable and went to the Big Blue Box store and bought some collar nuts which fit a lot better, although the thread on the stem doesn't really matter. Finally, I settled on GZXY. 12V CF14 JL-02 3 Pin Adjustable Electronic LED Flasher Relay for Turn Signals (1 Pack)" to get the correct flashing frequency.
