Review on SMC Networks SMCWUSB G 802 11B Wireless by Dang Esq

I installed Linux Mint 11 (named Katya, based on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal) from the ISO CD. The target was an old Windows XP machine. I put the Mint CD in and shut down Windows (which shut down the machine). Then I inserted the purchased WLAN adapter. When I turned on the device, it booted from the Mint CD and the Mint installer successfully detected the wireless adapter. After installing Mint, I was prompted to enter my wireless network passphrase. Ready. I'm on the internet. No other installation CDs, no drivers to fiddle with, no NDISwrapper (if you don't know what that is, you're in luck).
