Pretty and well made

I had never heard of Lokai bracelets until I saw my 14 year old niece’s birthday list. She wanted the Neon one but I couldn’t find it for sale so I got the blue instead. At $23 it is a little pricey, but it seems well made. It is soft and flexible, and there are no bits of extra rubber around the seams. The rubber is stretchy so even though the Medium looked a little too small for me, once I forced it over my hand it fit loosely around my wrist. Both the white and black bead have the Lokai logo, and the little indent showing where the bead was filled with the Everest Water and the Black Sea Mud. The tag looks authentic and doesn’t have any of the signs that indicate it is a fake (wrong shade of blue, cheap paper used for tag, minor changes to the logo, missing logo on the bead, etc). In just a few minutes of shopping I found lots and lots of fakes for sale.I was curious about the bracelet so I did some research and read that the Lokai bracelets became popular once pro athletes and movie stars started sporting them. Lokai is the new LiveStrong bands, only more stylish. The only thing that disappointed me with the purchase was that nothing came with the bracelet except the tag. The bracelet was just sealed in a little plastic bag with no box or documentation. For the price I was expecting fancier trappings, or at the very least a little slip of paper explaining the mission of the company and the meaning of the bracelet. Oh well, my niece will love it and that is all that matters.

Pros
  • Happy to have found a Lokai for the water charity.
Cons
  • May not withstand daily wear and tear
