I bought this muffler to replace the stock muffler on a 1998 Mercedes ml320 although it's a six cylinder Magnaflow which makes a nice deep growl when you stand on it but no unpleasant noise in the interior cockpit or rumble on the highway. At a price you can't go wrong on Amazon, I had a muffler shop install it as the stock muffler was double on one outlet (very hard to find a decent aftermarket alternative) so the shop built a custom one Y pipe adapter, the muffler that went with it and to make it work with my system, what could be happier
