Review on ๐Ÿ” Enhanced Rear Window Glass Gas Lift Supports Springs Struts Arm Shocks for Ford Excursion 2000-2005 with 1.5" Lift by Pete Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

PERFECT AND SIMPLE - JUST MAKE IT!

My Excursion's legs were toasted and I was looking for a strut option that would hold the glass sunroof higher than the stock roof, as the tripod height is annoying. Ordered after reading the reviews here - came in two days. Installation literally took less than 5 minutes. Tools Required: 1 small flat head screwdriver for removing the retaining clips on old racks. Steps: 1) Support the glass hatch with a short piece of wood e.g. B. a dowel or part of a broomstick. 2) Use a very small screwdriver to pry out the retaining clips on each end of the old posts, remove the posts and discard them in the trash. 3) Install the new uprights by sliding the ends onto the ball studs - start with the end that attaches to the body, then lift the sunroof to install the other end. The posts are strong enough to hold up one side while you finish the other side. The cheapest and fastest repair. Can't believe you see people rushing 2x4s etc to keep old hatches up when $25 and 5 minutes is enough.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • I won't say anything
