They're perfect for places where you just need enough light to see where you're going or to mark a spot. They only use 1 watt, so you can leave them on 24/7 and not feel like you're being too wasteful. Although I'm not sure how long they will last. One bulb stopped working after a few hours, but that seems to be typical of cheap LEDs (and sometimes more expensive ones). Luckily they come in a pack of 6 and I only needed 3 bulbs so I have 2 spares :-)
