I played this game with my wife and it wasn't as good as the first two games we played (which led us to the EXIT series in the first place): Sunken Treasure and Dead Man in the East Express puzzles were everywhere and the puzzles were not "intuitive"; they were far fetched and you had to think so outside of the box that you weren't in the bookstore anymore. It looked (I'm not sure if it was) like the company's first game. There was one puzzle that we really liked for its creativity, but the rest just fell flat. For example, we wouldn't be able to solve one of the puzzles (no spoilers) if we didn't use a hint. The rules for this were confusing and he wanted us to do things that he didn't imply or mention. Some of the tools didn't seem to work, one didn't work properly and we spent a good 8 minutes on it even though we already knew what to do. Overall we love the EXIT game series, but this is NOT the best game to start with or even try. If this had been our first EXIT game, we certainly wouldn't have bought the others; I'd say avoid it or give it a try after you've done a few others.
