Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ ThingPulse #1 NodeMCU ESP8266 WiFi IoT Starter Kit: Arduino Compatible, Complete Manual & Exercises by Michael Wiley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great project for beginners to program on Arduino

I have four of these kits and am new to this type of project. I've done many projects with Raspberry Pi and recently got interested in the ESP8266 board after visiting the Squix TechBlog. Daniel helped me a lot with some problems I had and he always helps. I've decided to switch my display to a blue/amber display, it looks better but the white OLED is still very sharp and crisp. I like the fact that I can show the degree symbol (ยฐ) on this display and don't have to write any additional code to get something similar to the display. I also like the fact that this board can be programmed and powered with just one USB cable compared to the Adafruit Huzzah which has to have a TTL serial cable to program the board. I'm also pleased that you can now get this board through Revain Prime and don't have to wait forever to get started. The included box is also a plus for storing some of the many parts I've accumulated across all my projects. Thanks again to Daniel for his time and great project. The photo I added is under construction. I'm using a Raspberry Pi Model A+ case and waiting for a clear top and sticking an OLED in the top and everything fits fine.
