I'm somewhat experienced at working with contact paper. I've never encountered this problem. Whenever you lay contact paper there will be some adjustment as you adhere it. Almost always you'll have to occasionally pull it back up a bit as you go. With everything I've used before, the initial adhesion is light. so pulling it up a bit is not a problem. This paper is attracted to the surface, probably by static electricity, & strongly adheres at the 1st touch. You can pull it back up, but it takes force & that creates a new problem. The plastic stretches. The hair dryer was able to shrink out some of the bulge caused by fingers, but where I had to tug hard, the bulge was just too much & a wrinkle formed.
