Review on Arctix Stream Jacket Black Small: Perfect Boys' Clothing in Jackets & Coats by Andrew Carrao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems to be well made and looks good.

I've never had an Arctix before ordering one for my daughter. Where we live, rain showers are usually heavy enough to keep us stuck indoors, which is why I've never bought her a raincoat before. When we started kindergarten this year, I saw all the children falling out of cars in raincoats in the morning. It's literally a foot between the car and the shed where they exit, so I didn't think a drop of rain would make a difference. I ended up being pressured by peers to make her blame a damn mother. I'm really glad I did it because it's good. It has a mesh lining and a back vent to keep you warm. The hood hugs the face well and while I don't expect it to be used much in the summer, maybe at the beach, I think it will be great in the fall and winter. (No snow here) This is a good fit for my six year old daughter and should be for her at least next year or two. It appears to be well made and should be easy to clean. I like that it doesn't look or feel cheap and that it should last. So we'll see how it goes, but I might end up with one for the family.

Pros
  • my daughter loves
Cons
  • Limited freedom of movement
