Review on ๐Ÿบ Efficient Storage Solution: FastRack 1 Gallon Glass Widemouth Jar, Clear by Heather Wilson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Thin, weak glass for home brewing and winemaking

Update: I've been using the jar to make cold coffee for a year. Today I got a cold glass from the fridge, the bottom was a bit dirty, my wife washed it in the sink. As you might have guessed, the hot water broke the glass. There was a large bowl next to her and she saved the dripping coffee. Then the whole floor fell off! Creepy! Buy a tempered glass jar. We have treated it very carefully to ensure it lasts so long. Original rating, 3 stars: Glass arrived quickly and as advertised. In it we prepare cold coffee with fine-meshed nylon gauze. It works well, the jar is good, you can squeeze a rag under the half-screwed lid. Although the glass seems very thin I think it can break easily. The lid has a soft plastic element inside that sticks to the glass, it's thin and started falling out. It's cheap so hate to complain, we'll keep using it but are looking for a more durable model.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
