Review on 🧀 Prodyne Thick Beechwood Cheese Slicer: Premium Quality, 9 ½" x 6" x ⅞ by Nathan Akers

It looked pretty cool when I checked before ordering. Having used it for about 3 weeks, I cannot recommend it for slicing cheese (despite rave reviews from soap makers). You need to line up the wire with the slot - ok, no problem. The problem is that the handle is too loose to cut straight through the cheese, resulting in the slices inevitably getting thicker at the top or bottom. When fine-tuning after cutting off two pre-cuts (or should I say wedges?), the corrugated cutting wire naturally moves. There doesn't seem to be a way to create even slices with parallel sides.
