Very easy to use!

I love this thing! This makes slicing the cheese much easier. I have a pretty good knife that I use to cut the cheese. But there is no comparison with this cheese slicer. Cutting cheese is almost impossible! (not the smelly look πŸ˜‰) If the wire seems misaligned, it's very easy to fix. You simply pull your trimmer arm in or out to flatten it. Simply simply simply! The manual clearly states that an adjustment may be needed! I think this thing is great! I would buy again anytime I needed a good…

It looked pretty cool when I checked before ordering

It looked pretty cool when I checked before ordering. Having used it for about 3 weeks, I cannot recommend it for slicing cheese (despite rave reviews from soap makers). You need to line up the wire with the slot - ok, no problem. The problem is that the handle is too loose to cut straight through the cheese, resulting in the slices inevitably getting thicker at the top or bottom. When fine-tuning after cutting off two pre-cuts (or should I say wedges?), the corrugated cutting wire naturally…

Cuts soap very well!

I really like this food slicer. I use it to cold cut soap. First I used a knife, then a straight hand cutter, then I got a wavy hand cutter. Each time they came out unevenly no matter how careful I was. Eventually I admitted I couldn't cut them by hand, so I started looking for soap scissors. After delivery I would spend $100 on one of the cheaper ones. I saw a woman use a cheese slice like this in an online tutorial. It cuts perfect bars to any size you want. I'm so glad I discovered this…

Unsafe and Unhygienic Prodyne Cheese Slicer

Don't Buy This Prodyne Cheese Slicer! Made cheap. I actually had to use mine twice and then it broke. A beech cutting board is great, but have a knife or cheese knife ready when using this item. The cutting wire is placed on a metal guide with a plastic handle. This handle is attached with a screw that cannot be tightened. Doing so could detach the wire and cause the handle to pop out and injure someone. The wire slips out of the groove. The screw holding the wire doesn't go into the plastic…

Great slicer! - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

I started buying large 2lb cheese sticks from Sam and wanted something other than hand cut as I can't cut straight to save my life. I've used it a few times and these are my impressions so far: 1. Firstly, the tree is REALLY beautiful and it would be nice if it wasn't used during a party/gathering.2. I'm very glad I watched the manufacturer's video on how to gently pull the lever out to align the blade with the cutting groove. In fact, I regularly adjust my hand so the blade doesn't hit the…
