Review on ๐Ÿ“ป NESDR SMArTee v2 SDR - Premium RTL-SDR with Integrated Bias Tee, Aluminum Enclosure, 0.5PPM TCXO, SMA Input: Unleash the Power of Software-Defined Radio by Anthony Robichaud

Great starter SDR, get a

for a complete kit including antenna kit This NESDR SMArTee v2 SDR is working well after 3 weeks of heavy use almost every day. Feels warm, but that's okay. I didn't notice any frequency drift as the Smartee v2 gets warm after an hour of use. I also have a NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR that I was comparing. I just don't know why RTL-SRD v3 has a wider 500kHz-1700MHz frequency range than Smartee v2's 25MHz-1700MHz frequency range. The improvements I would like to make to these NESDRs would be releasing new products with a USB 3.0 connector instead of the USB 2.0 connector they now come with, which shouldn't cost much more. Produce full bandwidth SDR from 25MHz to 2000MHz without skipping frequencies. I wish Nooelec NESDR could do something similar to SDR AirSpy or SDRplay with 12-bit or 14-bit ADC with all their features but with the US focus on AM and FM band or notch filters for our frequency bands it could be difficult. do as most of the world uses different frequency standards for FM than the US. Just waiting for the best antenna to arrive which is a diskone to really test this SDR and SMArTee XTR.

Pros
  • ultra-low noise software defined radio that can pick up virtually ANY RF signal from around 25MHz to 1700MHz. Contains only SDR! See http://www.amazon.com/dp/B079C4S2BT
