The insulation does not normally peel like a zip cord - be careful, customer
The wire's sheathing does not peel leaving black and red insulated wires. When split, the black wire remains fully insulated with some red insulation. Half of the insulation was missing on the red side. This wire was useless for my needs; that is, solderless connectors are placed on each of the conductors. In the end I threw everything away. I would not recommend this product.
