I had a hard time installing them. The instructions that come with it are really bad. I would give it 3 stars but now that I have it installed I am very satisfied. But the initial problem prevents me from giving it 5 stars. What I did was disassemble the entire component. Careful, small springs, ball bearings, screws, etc. My problem was that every time I tried to tighten the assembly to the frame hole, the D-ring would spring back, making it difficult to tighten the entire assembly to the truck frame. A small Allen wrench is used to tighten the screws that control how easily the D-ring goes in and out. The D-ring then stays extended during installation, allowing you to easily install the device. Also, fully unscrew the set screw to allow the rear panel to be easily inserted into the truck frame. After I put them in, they look great and work great!
