Review on Large Room Bedroom Humidifiers: AILINKE 8L Top Fill Ultrasonic Humidifier with Humidistat, 3 Speeds for Baby, Kids, Adults, Home, Yoga, and Sleep by Morgan Arnold

Revainrating 5 out of 5

By far the best humidifier I have found

I have used several Cranes in my time, a large dual tank ultrasonic humidifier and more recently one of the top rated models here (TaoTronix). As long as they do their job, they all have the same disadvantage - refilling the tank is a nuisance. You have to take it to the sink, open the tank (by lifting the diffuser that you forget to take off every time), hum a song or three while you fill it, close it and bring it back to the Keecoon to get around this problem completely to solve by making it reusable at the top so you can take any old water jug and water it. It also makes filling from the Brita jug easier, which helps reduce limescale build-up. And because the device is tall, you don't have to bend down. I can't stress enough how much better this is and how much ease of use makes you more likely to keep your tank full, which in turn means your air stays more comfortably humidified. The instructions say not to top up the water while the unit is on, but honestly if you're careful it works great topping up on the fly. The unit generates a lot of humidity, enough to fill a large room (1000 square feet). in a dry winter environment (an old leaky house in Cleveland, Ohio with a convection gas stove leaving the place dry to the bone), and an 8 liter tank should last all day on the highest settings. It's also super quiet, takes up very little space and looks stylish. The only downside for us Amurricians is that the temperature is displayed in Celsius and cannot be changed to Fahrenheit (I would advise the manufacturer to add a setting for that). It also comes with a remote control which I think is superfluous but it works. We've only been using it for about a month, so can't comment on durability yet. All in all an amazingly effective product - highly recommended!
