Review on Zalman Z3 M ATX πŸ’» Tower Computer: A Compact and Powerful Machine by Wiktor Jakuta ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Didn't quite buy it well, had a little trouble using it.

Approximately 5 years of experience. For all the time I had to sweat with this case. It is not very easy to disassemble - but after 2-3 times of complete parsing - it went easier. The front panel can be washed directly in water so that the foam rubber is not removed, because it is clamped by a bunch of iron clips, and if they are bent several times, they will break. The rail for additional cooling was not useful, especially since it was literally welded to the case from the very beginning and did not allow the computer to be assembled ! The bolts were torn off, trying to unscrew them, I tore off the cross on the hats, and they had to be drilled out with a drill . the first impression was no longer rosy. Then the USB 3 front slot broke. Pulled out with a flash drive. I ordered the same one on alik for 500r, installed it myself instead of the old one, but at the same time USB 2 slots got loose, flash drives hang freely in them, they are hard to read, it’s better not to use the joystick through them at all - it will falter. As a result, the front panel completely broke down (fixed with 1 bolt), as a result, now it walks, you insert a USB flash drive - and it sinks under it . In general, I will change the case. In general, served well. Despite all the jambs and cheapness - it is comfortable to assemble a computer on it - since the case is spacious and everything fits very well. Cable management is really lame. There is very little space behind the back cover. The window is small, and it is not at all clear why it is needed. Since you can’t really look at the backlight through such a small window. But it helps to assess the dust content inside without removing the cover) very bad bolts on regular coolers (long), many scroll (maybe the problem is in the holes) It is not convenient to screw the coolers - because of the scrolling. The thread is cut badly! The case is not bad, but it needs a lot of modernization and improvements. The front panel is not well made! In general, the case is average, not ideal. For 6 years I got tired of him. I ordered another - I hope it will be better. Change to Zalman Z7 Neo Black - wait for a review)

Pros
  • *People's brand. One of the most popular cases in the middle segment. * Spacious * 4 usable fans included (survivable) * Minimal simple cable management * There are dust filters * There is a window. * Bolts are unscrewed without a screwdriver. * Convenient installation of hard drives without bolts * There is a bay for SSD. * Comfortable and ergonomic front panel. Power button is cool * Looks decent * Well ventilated
Cons
  • *Very poor quality materials * The front bar (for additional cooling) had to be drilled out. The bolts were tightened with pre-rolled threads. * The bolts in the kit are of poor quality, many scroll. * It is extremely difficult to remove the cooler to clean it from dust - many bolts are stuck, many are scrolling. * The metal is not of the best quality, very thin and not reliable * Illumination of the front cooler is not needed, it is not visible. * The front USB panel broke after 2 years. it's stupidly recessed inside. Made in a very Chinese way. * Front USB ports all but USB3 are loose. flash drives wobble. USB 3 died completely - I had to buy separately and solder manually. * Dust nets are so-so - at the bottom it immediately bent and became unusable - I ordered an analog on alik, adjusted it. * Front and top dust foam rubber - not very convenient to maintain. * Behind the dies for the vidyuhi had to be broken out . * Very poor cable management. To make it beautiful (more or less) - it was possible, but the back cover of the spruce was closed ! Very tight wires under it . * There is only one SSD bay! At least 2 did! * The window is small - there is little sense in it.
