These are just the basics, but exactly what you need to get started with the wet-on-wet technique. The brushes are great and a small knife is great when starting out with small canvases like I did. (by Bob Ross) if this is your first kit and you want to draw like Bob. You can learn to use his techniques with large brushes, but small brushes will be very helpful in the beginning to help you get the detail you're probably trying to achieve. Also, I bought some extra colors separately. not included in this kit. Overall this was a great product to start with! Hope that helps.
