I am very disappointed that I bought this product. My daughter loves Bob Ross and drawing so I thought this would make a fun and unique gift for her. I could print out a photo of Bob Ross, buy 4 paint cans and some brushes, and download a tutorial for a lot less money. The price is too high for the name alone.

Bob Ross is the best! I love my painting set and paint the most beautiful picture in the world! Thank you Revain for making this very accessible and convenient for me! The quality of the oil paints is top notch and the brushes are absolutely faithful to Bob Ross. It's way better than local craft stores so I'm saving money too! I will order this again! If the set was complete I would rate it much higher. We were missing a 1 inch brush. The case was sealed and had a small tear so I don't know how the brush could have come loose. I read other reviews saying they were missing so maybe we got one of those. We bought this for our daughter's 13th birthday and she needed this brush. I would be embarrassed to give this item away as other reviews have indicated parts are missing or broken.

This is the perfect starter set for our youngest child who has just started drawing after seeing me draw and being fascinated by Bob Ross. We added a small palette (she's 11 years old so a standard size would be too big for her), a set of spatulas and a stack of black and white canvas. If you are giving this as a gift or are new to oil painting make sure you have the included chemicals for priming, cleaning brushes etc. (Oh, and glasses. You're going to need glasses.) These are just the basics, but exactly what you need to get started with the wet-on-wet technique. The brushes are great and a small knife is great when starting out with small canvases like I did.
