Review on Culligan US EZ 4 EZ Change Undersink Filtration by Marcos Fiallo

Liked with this filter

Note that the T-piece provided has ½" fittings to connect to the supply line has. It's normal to have 3/8" fittings on the cutouts under the sink, so it seems like the 1/2" tee is meant to be attached to the end of the bracket and not the cut off end what could be the reason for so many reviews mentioning 3/8" fitting issue. Disconnect the supply hose from the cold 1/2" faucet fitting and screw the tee onto the faucet, then connect the supply hose to the bottom of the T -piece on. If your faucet has built-in hoses that cannot be removed, you will need to find another way to connect the supply. Check your faucet to make sure you can attach the 1/2" hoses to the bottom to make sure I didn't install it under the sink. It's an inexpensive setup and I can see how the connections can cause problems, especially if the hoses aren't cut correctly and at right angles. Insert it and attach the connectors to the filter. When you insert the tubing it seems tight, but you want to insert it a little more, over the lines and tubing. If you are using a different hose or a cut section of hose you will need to make sure it is fully inserted. The connection to the bottom of the spigot was a bit odd, it seemed like you could put a lot or a bit of the hose in and the water fills the entire length of the threaded portion underneath. Make sure the insert that goes into the hose is inside the nut. Once tightened, you can easily put more hose into the fitting than necessary and you won't have a hose insert underneath the nut to help with the compression seal. I haven't had any leaks from pressing on fittings or hoses. I didn't use a supply tee and instead went with the longer 1/4 inch hose I bought to install the ice maker and run the hose straight into the basement. under the sink and conveniently over the sump opening for large spills. This may not be possible in all situations, but it also allows me to reattach the filter to use as an icemaker filter with a refrigerator filter bypass plug. Without a sink connection you would have to find another source of cold water, I had an unused washing machine hose connection in the same spot so it seemed like a waste of time to solder the tee and close or use a poppet valve (I wouldn't use a poppet valve). I bought a hose fitting with a 1/4" compression fitting and stuck a feeder in, a quarter turn of the hose bib was all it took to get enough water pressure on the filter. The filter fills a gallon jug two to three times more than f .like our old Culligan faucet filter which has served us well for the last 3 years. The water seems to taste the same but we've only had it for 3 days. The quality of the pipe suits me it seems quite durable too its but i have nothing to compare it to.if there are problems with it then i will replace it one day,it's ok.i'm glad we filtered the water and finally got to replace the sink faucet we had forgot to replace as we were dependent on an old Culligan filter We filter by flavor and chlorine as we have city water hopefully for a full 12 months between filter changes is sufficient.
