I've always been happy to use the 5 gallon bucket from my hardware store to clean my tanks and I'll admit I laughed when I saw that there is this custom bucket, but I thought why don't you try it. Well, there are definitely some benefits to using this dedicated fish supplies bucket. First, it is very clearly labeled that it is for fish. I don't have to worry about my husband confusing my fish bucket (which I marked with a marker but can be missed) for any of the other identical buckets we have. This is important because you don't want to add any chemicals, not even soap, to your aquarium environment. The second is that he is white.
