Review on Dorman 38640 Tailgate Hinge Kit for Chevrolet / GMC Models - Black Finish by Ricky Bedell

Very easy installation fixed a broken tailgate. I was a bit confused by the photos and the description. This only applies to the driver and passenger side of the truck body. The two parts that attach to the tailgate are sold separately. Luckily, the only fault I had was the driver's side hinge that was mounted to the bed. I have changed both bed side hinges and if at some point the gate side hinges break I will then replace them. Time will tell how they hold up but seem to be doing well. Much better of course compared to rusty and broken spare parts. Installed on my 1991 Chevy Silverado C1500.
