This is a nice set of brushes and contains every size anyone would probably ever need for nails. However, the quality across products in this brand does not seem consistent. Some of their brushes seem to be made of kolinsky hairs and some are synthetic but it is not always clear which is which. These brushes are described as being made of kolinsky hair. I ordered this set with pink handles as well as what seems to be the same set, but with white handles from a different Ebay page. For some reason, these are of much better quality. The set with white handles had several brushes in which the hairs were shedding or easily pulled loose. That is not the case with this pink-handled set -- all of the brushes have a nicely shaped head with neatly tied and tightly anchored hairs. No loose hairs and no shedding. The hairs are soft and smooth and return to shape easily with no splaying. The ferrule is smooth metal with an oval crimp. The twisted plastic handles are very pretty + they are easy and comfortable to hold. The brushes are nicely boxed and each is individually enclosed in a plastic tube with a protective sheath. It is easy to put the sheath back on after cleaning and conditioning the brush before re-shaping. The current price of $39.99 does seem a bit high at first, but there are ten of them, making the cost much more reasonable.
