Review on Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam | HD Video Streaming & Recording at 1080P | 720P 60Fps | Tripod Included by Aashit Shandilya ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The product can be used, I expected a little more.

Reduced the score to 3 because. I finally figured out how advertisers are fooling us: 720p video with 60 frames per second is actually 1080p. Much shorter, yet it goes up to 720. If you take the identical photo at 720x30 and 720x60 and examine the results, you'll notice a striking difference. Everything looks soapy in 720p/60. When using third-party software, the drastic drop in quality of the video while switching to 60 frames per second without reducing the resolution is immediately apparent. - For the cost, I thought a camera would have better features. Average standard. This webcam is not state-of-the-art, but it will suffice for most purposes. The ability to mount it on a tripod is fantastic. The camera's low-light performance impressed me. It was annoying that the camera's settings software didn't let you choose the resolution at which to transmit video or select a mirror image (so that your movements were repeated on the screen as in a mirror) when using the camera as a webcam. This means that not every software is compatible. It's ridiculous that a site with "Testing the camera online" in the first line of the request shows barely 2 frames per second. 2 CARL! However, the dimensions are 2304 by 1296 pixels. Ok, I get that the camera's CPU doesn't yank, but why grant it permission to begin with? The blurring function in Skype is really effective. If this could be included in the camera's software, it would be fantastic. When deciding on a camera, the ability to swap out the background was a major selling point for me. The most recent software update omits this feature. They made the correct choice, too. Search for "that works just awful" on YouTube. As stated on the help page, you may also wish to employ auxiliary software. Thank you, Logitech! To clarify, this is unrelated to your camera in any way. There should be no promotion of such a feature, as it is unfair. This may be done with the help of add-on software and can be viewed in virtually any webcam. I'm unable to comment on microphones at this time. As a rule, I avoid making use of the camera's microphone. The general consensus is that the price is excessive for such a camera. I think it ought to be a few thousand dollars cheaper.

Pros
  • Autofocus (yes) (yes) Captures usable images even in dim conditions Bolt-on adapter (can be put on any monitor, table, tripod) Has PAL 50 hertz deflickering support, a current standard with relevance in 2022. That's very neat looking.
Cons
  • Autofocus (extremely lengthy) (very long) Fragile code The camera doesn't let you pick the video quality it sends over the internet (not when recording, but in webcam mode) There's no blur function for the background. On switching to "widescreen," the frame rate decreases drastically, even in bright environments, and the on-screen action becomes choppy. A strong zoom loses image quality, therefore I don't see the point. There is no way to change the position of a monitor's attachment in the vertical or horizontal planes. If you turn on the zoom, though, the video quality will suffer because it is all digital. Disguising truth with an appearance of falsity.

With its pros: Quality, body, set-up - everything is super With its cons: On a poppy book pro, you have to tinker with the settings
