Didn't fit my 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid perfectly

The website says it fits my Mercury Mariner but it isn't. It can still be installed, but the etched area of the footpegs shows an open gap. I bought another set online through Amazon who said it would fit but it didn't. I think I'll have to go somewhere else if I want a factory fit. Well it works until I find the right ones.
