Review on Stromberg Carlson LG 179015 Landing Aluminum by Charles Collier

I was in the middle of nowhere with my five wheeled toy dump truck when the plastic housing of the original gear broke leaving me a little confused as I couldn't lift the trailer high enough to get it to raise it. above the trailer hitch. I didn't panic too much, so I left the trailer hooked up to my truck and ordered an aluminum-cased Stromberg gearbox. From what I could find, this is the only type of gearbox found on all chassis. Two days later it was delivered and 20 minutes to swap it out and then bam I have a working chassis again. I've ordered a replacement just in case. No matter how much I use the trailer it should last for many years but I think at this price point it's excellent insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing an aluminum Stromgerg.
