Review on πŸ”² R Memory Keepers Square Punch Board - Art and Craft Supplies by Kristen Simpson

Have waited a long time just to get it back.

I can't believe I'm writing a one star review for a We R Memory Keepers product. I especially can't believe I'm writing one for this punch, which I've been really, really looking forward to. I have a few hits from this brand and always thought they couldn't go wrong until I received my shipment from Amazon today. I bought this hole punch to replace Fiskar's paper cutter and Happy Planner Punch. chunkier than any other We R Memory Keepers product I own. Much of the product feels good, but the guides feel very fragile and can break if you're not very careful. It punches through sizes up to 4x3 (they don't mention this on the website; they say it will punch through 4x4), but that's only if you can get it to work. I tried different types of paper. If you're using regular printer paper or thin cut paper, forget it. One side doesn't pierce through at all, and 9 times out of 10 the paper gets stuck in the hole punch and tears when you try to remove it. If you try to use a punch card, you'll get better results, but the cuts are rarely even. By this I mean that after the "square" is broken, it looks more like a diamond. You can't get a perfect square shot, or at least I can't. Loading the paper is not easy, especially with thinner paper. It twists slightly in the punch before it reaches the guide on the left, usually in a place that's unreachable so you can't fix it. without pulling it out again and trying again. My final complaint is that it's terribly difficult to actually push the top of the punch down to get those imprecise cuts. My wrist hurt after only 8-10 attempts to pierce paper and cardboard. Unfortunately, this long-awaited purchase returns to Revain. that it's terribly difficult to actually push the top of the punch down to get those imprecise cuts.
