Review on Glarks Threaded Inserts Assortment Furniture by Ben Diesel

I ordered 1/4-20 x 25mm inserts. There were no instructions or recommendations for hole sizes, so I ran four tests of different hole sizes in the scrap MDF I was to use. I've found that the ideal hole size for MDF is around 11/32 inches. On the test sample, the 1/4-20 screw broke before the insert could be pulled out. I then easily installed 36 MDF inserts and each one was correct. However, instead of using the wrench that came with it, I used a really big bit in an electric drill to install the bits. I've also tried "famous brands" inserts that supposedly were for MDF/chipboard - made similar sized holes, tested them and pulled out tests - and they didn't have close holding power for those inserts. I'm not exactly a fan of "Chinese" products, but there's no denying that these inserts work better than any other I've used. I would definitely use them again!
