While the device itself is beautiful, sleek and modern in design; My problem occurred because the device came with defective and missing items. As you can see from my photos you will notice that the item says it comes with a window mount. While the customer rep was quick to say he would send the mount straight away, I'm curious as to why this wasn't included in the box which appears to have come from the factory. Secondly, as can also be seen in the photos, the ventilation hose is not attached properly. and is not acceptable. If you look at my photos it looks like someone cut the hose and then tried to force it into the adapter. It fell off within one (1) time of attaching it to the unit and I couldn't reattach the hose without tape. It works now? Yes. However, we don't pay hundreds of dollars for a part that we need tape to use. Additional points will be deducted. How does the device itself work? It's excellent. Within a few seconds, the air is cooled and the warm air is released to the outside. I like the remote control and the temperature sensor on the device. So yes, the device itself is a great purchase. Most people ask about the noise level. I tested with dbA (corrected decibels) and at around 10ft(s) it fluctuates between 53-56. This seems to be the average for every unit out there. I usually sleep with the fan on, so it's a little louder than a running fan. Again not the worst. Overall I give this device a 4/5. That would be 5/5, but I can't ignore the cheaply made vent hose and missing window mount. Other than that, yes, it's great cooling.
