I remove the USB connector, the power-on LED and the 1.5 kΩ pull-up resistor for USB, and then the current draw in "sleep mode" is less than 1 milliamp (instead of the default 5 milliamps) . Long live Lady Ada. Remember that the maximum is 20 milliamps on the contacts. digital pins 2 and 7 are not available.
