Review on BALEAF Women's Bike Shorts: 3D Padded Pocket for Comfortable Cycling Experience with Gel Cushioning – UPF 50+ by Andre Belitz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lining fit was odd/uncomfortable. The rest seemed excellent.

The padding was in the wrong shape/position. The front padding was too wide and too long (or too far forward). It was so wide that it cut into my legs and/or the creases in my legs. It was so long that it protruded past the lower abdomen. By protruding I mean that it wasn't in the direction of the fabric or body, but protruded vertically. Like an erect male body part. Very odd and clumsy looking. The waist is perfect for the small size I always wear in clothes and cycling shorts. But while it was wearable, it was otherwise a bit cramped. I can wear them like this, but I might get called for wearing something too small. It would be embarrassing in public. Even at home it's a little uncomfortable to see this. Still, they felt quite comfortable in the short time I wore them. So maybe I'm on the verge of *their* sizes? Your chart says I should buy a small one. I bought according to their table. Medium may look better or even be more comfortable (on my body). I would like to try on a medium size but I think then the waist will be too big. And the padding will probably still stick up front in a very awkward way. The key to not trying removable media is that I can't imagine the front padding between the legs suddenly becoming shorter or narrower. It could be even worse. Note that the pink poutine on the padding in the photos is pretty much the standard transition to cycling shorts in recent decades. almost an inch wider on each side! It's 2 inches wider when meant to be the narrowest! Elsewhere line up the shaft, it can only be 1/4" wider. The SHADE of the padding does NOT match the shape of the highlighted (and thickest) padding in pink! I had high hopes. I have 2 different styles when bought one I was planning to buy 5 total. Maybe I should have tried 1small and 1medium in the same style instead of 2small in different styles. I've always been small but there is no good reference in women's clothing.UGH .Like trying on Clothing in a store, shipping via the Internet.I should always plan to BUY a range of sizes, knowing and planning wrong sizes. There's just no other way to buy clothes online people close to reference points but have different shapes or weight could fit each order more surely. But that is a philosophy, not a specific company. To be honest, it's usually difficult to cl to find clothes that fit my body type. Pants/leggings ns usually have a huge waist, a ridiculously long crotch/or a high waist that goes over my ribs. Or they are too short in the legs (for pants, N/A for long shorts or cycling shorts), wide hips are common problems. to my body. So this brand actually *usually* fits better than most shorts/leggings brands I've tried (well, compared to jogging shorts and regular shorts - I haven't bought new cycling shorts in a very long time). Sticking out the step was awkward. And having a crotch that was too wide was a bit odd. (Maybe with use it softens, rolls up better, becomes invisible?) I don't think they would appreciate my attempt to do an exercise or two to test this theory before returning if necessary. So they just came back. OT if I ran the tests and they were ok yes. I would just stick with this brand. Otherwise everything else about both styles I bought seemed GREAT. I loved her at first sight. They will probably work well for other people. I really wanted it to be my favorite brand.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...
