I don't know why people don't reveal the secret of their installation. The trick is to install them opposite the side where the three tabs for the original bushing are, as this will ruin the new bushings. Press from the front on the passenger side and from behind on the driver's side. I used a gasket installer, a long bolt, nut and short ball joint bushing. I used a similar setup to install the copper bushing. I also expanded the tabs on the cross member with a vise, once I tightened the bolt to 70 ft-lbs the tabs and bushing shrunk. Now they are very tight compared to the OE bushings, my 2002 Yukon XL 1500 has about 184,000 miles on them. You may need to grind away some material on one side of the sleeve lip to insert it, do this on the side that will be inserted first.
