Puma chipset good for networking products
I wish I had done more research on this modem. The CM700 uses the Puma chipset and has a known dropout issue. Just google. Of course I experienced it as soon as I set up this modem with xfinity. This will likely happen once or twice an hour and will take 30-60 seconds to reconnect to the internet. This is not acceptable for online gaming or video streaming. Now that this modem was working, it was great. I have a higher network speed than advertised. But I will have to return it and look at other options.
