An all around nice block plane
Definitely a nice plane right out of the box. Looks fantastic. The sole was pretty much flat, only needed a tiny bit of work. The ONLY reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars has to do with the adjustable mouth. For some reason, it's lost adjustment a few times, causing the mouth to close against the blade during use. Otherwise, a nice little block plane overall.
- Nice thin shavings after honing the blade. Really like the cam clamping action to lock the blade depth.
- The blade needs frequent sharpening, which can be time-consuming and frustrating for some users
