I use this for my locker at work. It is easy to use, the dial and the locking mechanism work smoothly. I know this lock very well because it is my 5th lock. The problem is that my locker is on the top row, just over 5 feet off the ground. From time to time the lock slips out of my hand or I miss a slot. I don't drop it on the floor. I don't hit it with a hammer or slam the door, but a 5 foot drop is enough to damage the locking mechanism and render it completely unusable. It's not about aesthetics. It's not like it's scratched or dented. This is what it no longer works. Everyone. Lonely. Time. I used to have lockers and never had a problem, probably because my locker was only 3ft off the ground and/or had carpet or rubber mat on the floor instead of concrete. If that is you then this lock is for you. For me, my job requires us to have this specific type of lock, so I'm stuck buying a new lock and memorizing a new combination every 6 months.
