Just used this on a 4.3 GM V6 after a restoration with new hydraulic valve lifters. I had never used one of these before so I expected it to pump oil to the rockers before it did. It took us about 8-10 minutes to fill all the seesaws with oil. First one or two, then gradually more. Eventually, as expected, oil all began to ooze from the top of the pushrods. Manually rotating the motor about 90 degrees every few minutes also helps. Works best with a large 1/2" corded drill, requires quite a bit of torque.
