Review on Bando USA 6PK2205: Unparalleled πŸ”₯ OEM Quality Serpentine Belt for Optimal Performance by Ronnie Saylor

Don't take this if you have an MK4 TDI.

I used it to replace the OEM serpentine belt on my 2004 VW Jetta TDI (BEW) station wagon. This product said it was compatible with my car. At first this product worked, but I noticed problems right away. 1. The belt looked different than my normal one. I thought maybe it just needs to be worn in the grooves. I proceeded to install and drive it.2. During a test drive on the freeway, I noticed that the battery status light came on briefly and then went off again. This happened from time to time over several weeks. A few months passed, everything worked fine, but I noticed that my power steering started to squeak. The power steering fluid was low so I topped it up but it still squeaked. I drove it for a few more months until it got louder and I decided to order a new power steering pump and flush out the power steering fluid. Before deciding to spend hundreds of dollars on a power steering pump and power steering fluid, I decided to order a Continental 6DPK 1195 belt to see if that belt had lost tension or had a problem with it. I installed Continental 6DPK 1195 and to my surprise it solved my problem. Problem with squeaky power steering. If you have a VW or TDI, spend the extra money and just buy a better belt. This will save you the hassle and money trying to troubleshoot other issues like the power steering pump issue I had.
