This is a great kit for knitting wool/blanket due to different hook sizes. Having the pens and tape measure was extremely helpful with counting/measuring stitches, sizes etc. The price is very reasonable, great value for what you get. This will be a good gift. All in all I think there are higher quality crochet hooks on the market (heads can be narrower for example making it difficult to knit single crochet even with thick yarns) but this set will let the knitter know what she needs . invest many euros in a set of hooks/hooks beforehand, if it turns out that this is necessary at all. Potential buyers should keep in mind that this kit works best with thick yarn, if the user will be crocheting with "regular" yarn or thread (gauge 4 or less), do not purchase this kit.
