I bought this silicone ring as a second ring for the IP DUO-60 pressure cooker. I use the original spicy ring and soak it in vinegar for 24 hours about once a month. I use this ring for sweets like cheesecake and neutrals like oatmeal when I want to make sure the food doesn't get odors. I don't mind changing the rings because it's very easy and takes about 30 seconds. Note: A few days ago I made 3lb sliced russet mashed potatoes with a savory food ring and the ring came out. completely odorless, without imparting foreign odors to the potatoes. Who knew potatoes could eliminate odors?
