This mic works great for me! I make videos on Youtube and the sound from my laptop and/or iPhone hasn't always been the best. This new mic works great, but it comes with a few additional issues that I've learned to deal with. It's a USB microphone and I mainly use my iPhone as a camera. To do this, I had to purchase an additional Apple dongle so that the microphone could be used with my phone. It's okay, but it's the extra cables and dongles that are a step backwards in functionality but a big step up in sound quality.2. It has nothing to do with the microphone, but my MacBook only had 2 USBs and I had to buy a small USB hub so I could connect this extra device. But I am very satisfied with the microphone. The sound quality is excellent, especially for the money. In fact, I think the arm that came with the kit works pretty well. I installed the mic upside down as that configuration works best for my needs. I highly recommend. The only other downside is that while you work, the mute button produces an audible click in the audio stream when you mute it and a HUGE audible click when you unmute it, so I quickly realized that this button is probably never going to be used in any would become production use.
