Bought for my grandson for his seventh birthday. I bought an ordinary microscope, but when I opened it, it was very difficult to see anything. I thought if this disappoints me, it will definitely disappoint a seven year old. I went online and found this digital microscope. My grandson loves it and we had a lot of fun looking at different specimens. It was great to see everything we saw together at the same time. The picture is very clear. What I didn't like was that there were no assembly instructions. I really should have inspired it. They give you a detailed description of how to take photos or videos. The only thing that worked for me was I went to google and found a geek reviewing a similar product. After seeing his review I finally figured it all out. Other than that, I'm very glad I bought this item.
