It's not too dark! I think it's beautiful and looks great!.
Glad I didn't take the other reviews too seriously about this over dark shield as it is perfect! I wanted a shield so I didn't have to wear sunglasses and that's what it takes. I'm not the type of person to wear sunglasses indoors or at night. I have no vision problems even when the sun is behind clouds or I'm in a tree tunnel. It's also very easy to swap out the shields on these helmets.
