I bought 4 of these for my relatively small apartment. A pair of them work "well" because they're literally on the same harness, about 15 feet apart. I've been trying for days to get others to work on the other side of my apartment, less than 40ft away, but on a different connection and >>IF<< it connects, the data signal is terrible, ping times everywhere the location and LOTS of lost packets. Most of the time it just won't connect. I've tried swapping all four, the behavior was exactly the same - the powerline adapter I'm trying to use at the other end of my apartment just doesn't work. It's worth noting - although the product doesn't specifically call them "Gigabit Ethernet", it's incomprehensible these days that literally NOTHING will be 1Gbe. Even when they work correctly, they are unbearably slow. They will negotiate 100Mbps depending on the connection speed, but network file transfer speeds are in the 400-500kbps range at best. Considering I wanted to use them to connect to my NAS and Plex server, that's difficult. Plus they have an extra hassle! The cheapest option at Revain makes them the most popular. It turns out that my downstairs neighbors also use them, which causes them to randomly connect to the WRONG network at times. Very creepy! and VERY annoying. If possible I would give ZERO stars. I will return them and buy ANY brand except TP-Link. Avoid this product at all costs. They're junk and not worth the plastic they're made of.
