It works surprisingly well, but I found it painful to set up.

I am very impressed with the range and speed. I am connecting this from an outlet near my load center to an outlet from a utility panel in my detached garage. Real speed is around 20Mbps which is fast enough for my needs. The devices were plug and play when using the default encryption key, but I couldn't get the devices to generate their own keys. The instructions say to hold the button for 3 seconds and repeat on the second device. That never worked for me. Also, I was only able to factory…

Worked well enough for my specific needs

I have internet comcast. Unfortunately, it has a data limit of 1.2 TB. I recently found that I have an Xfinity public hotspot near me, but it's only strong enough on the east side of my house. Between this Powerline product from TrendNet and the WAVlink range extender, I was able to hook up the xfinity public internet connection and broadcast to the west side of the house where the PS4 and Xbox are. I only get about 20Mbps (compared to 120Mbps at my house) over the powerline connection, but…

Pros
  • Never lose an outlet with built in outlet

  • embarrassing

Blocks another fork; killed my wifi

Advantages:1. The two adapters connected automatically and were easy for that matter. Basically, you just plug in everyone and they take care of the rest.2. The price was great. A quick scan of Revain and you'll see that you could have spent a lot more on powerline adapters. Cons: 1. As others have said, it blocks part of the other outlet so you can't plug a 3-pin plug into the remaining outlet when the powerline adapter is plugged in. - the tooth does not fit. It sort of fixes this by having…

  • Includes two TPL-407E adapters
Cons
  • Too long to wait

It just WORKS. maybe with a little tweak, for games.

Ever since my family moved in, I've had serious network problems. The (WLAN) router is only six to seven meters away from us on the same floor. but between them is a bathroom, so lots of copper pipes. And the neighborhood is full of wireless networks. So my connection was unreliable, weak and generally basic. Poorly. Very very bad. Internet must be 200 Mbps; I was lucky enough to get KILOBYTES per second at 2.4GHz. And at a frequency of 5 GHz, the signal strength was sometimes barely enough for

They just don't work

I bought 4 of these for my relatively small apartment. A pair of them work "well" because they're literally on the same harness, about 15 feet apart. I've been trying for days to get others to work on the other side of my apartment, less than 40ft away, but on a different connection and >>IF<< it connects, the data signal is terrible, ping times everywhere the location and LOTS of lost packets. Most of the time it just won't connect. I've tried swapping all four, the behavior was…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

First off: no GFI, no AFCI, no incandescent lights and no fluorescent lights (LEDs) plugged directly into the wall. (tested in several places at home). A few problems I have: 1. Setting up the encryption according to the instructions (manual and website) turns out to be wrong: you don't keep the sync for 15 seconds, you go to another and press for 3 seconds. Press the timing button for about 6 seconds, when the light goes out, release it. Go to another block, do the same. Here's how I synced…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
