Review on Zalman R2 ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Computer Case: Mesh Front Panel, Tempered Glass, Cooling System - Black by Ryan Carter

Good case at a good price!

Suitcase looks great! Has good materials for its price. This is the third Zalman case I've bought. They're great on the budget. Here are some pros and cons of this particular case: PROS: - High quality materials. The case is heavier than you would expect given the price. - High quality paintwork. There are no partial black/grey areas like I've seen in some other colored cases. Smaller cable slots provide a tidier look inside the case while still leaving plenty of room for cable management. Nice white styling that really shows off your body and provides great ambient lighting - Good accent lighting that isn't overdone. Nice subtle glow in the front corners and bottom edge of the front of the case. - Comes with extra screws, straps, zip ties, manual and a speaker if you need it. - The included fan has nice RGB effects, not too bright, not too dark. It's also quiet when running. Easily mount hard drives and solid state drives. (Make sure to install the SSD BEFORE installing the front fans (especially if you install them inside and not outside). The left side of the SSD mounting holes will be blocked if you install the fans first. Good airflow. I've seen some people say the airflow is poor, but in fact I'm having the same temps as my last case I replaced (I just wanted a white case lol) Mount their air intakes on the outside of the bracket , and as you can see in one of my side pics the fan width is almost the same as the front cover so if you are mounting on the outside of the bracket I would recommend thin fans otherwise you will have very little room to suck air in. Marken offers these Rear cover not much space when working with extension cords - No front magnetic grille (in front of front intake fans) to keep out dust f (except on the front corner of the case). I prefer dust covers with magnetic grids. Installing the fans was a bit of a challenge as you were pretty limited on where to run the cables. In my case I had to route both fans through the top. Most cases have slots next to each fan, making it easier to route cables for them, plus you lose a lot of cables that have to be routed through the top of the case. No bracket for RGB hub/fan. . I just had to move the dot right to the center. This resulted in everything being a bit messy in the back. The HDD bracket is one of those built-in ones, so you can't remove it (easy anyway) if you just want some extra space at the bottom for cleaner cable routing. Most cons are finicky. The building as a whole is excellent and deserves 4 stars. At $52 you really can't complain and can't expect it to have the same features as a $100 case. I would recommend this case (and brand) anytime. Good products and good brand.
