My use case was a bit interesting. I'm a casual gamer and lately (due to the pandemic) I've been spending more time playing online games with my friends. CoD Warzone was my choice. As summer came my small apartment got very warm and my gaming laptop (Dell G7, FYI) felt and started to have heat issues which affected the overall performance of the game. Then I decided to play it on my PS4 but my friends use discord to communicate and you know there is no discord app for PS4. This is where our little blue friend comes into play. I thought I could use something to record sound from PS4 and mix it with the sound of messages from Discord and I entered Revain with this device. After spending 5 minutes tweaking the sound settings on both my PC and PS4, voila! I could hear sound from PS4 and Discord at the same time. And yes, I know there are products for this specific use case (mixamp) but they aren't $18. While the sound quality wasn't great, it wasn't bad. just good enough The only limitation I would note is that they include the drivers on a CD (really?). But a quick google search won't solve anything. I hope someone finds this little hack useful.
