Review on Review: Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, 16 oz - Unveiling its Remarkable Performance! by Larry Cothran

One of the previous owners had someone brush this all black car. In some places the scratches are light, in others the clear coat is badly damaged. I washed and dried the car and then applied Ultimate Compound to a square foot of roof with a handheld applicator. After the first application, most of the scratches on the surface have disappeared. The deep scratch was still visible, so I reworked that area a second time. I wasn't sure if the wax would cover the remaining holographic swirls, so I applied some ScratchX 2.0 to a slightly larger area to hide the hologram. In the morning sun the holographic effect was still visible but looked much better. I did this job with Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax. Because I know where the deep scratch is, I can still see it if I look closely, but the hologram effect is gone and not a single tiny scratch is visible. Or maybe I was dazzled by a clean, waxed surface with no scratches. Now all I have to do is make the hood, trunk and tail, and the top half of each front fender. I can't wait for this 2007 to be almost a new car.
