Review on ๐ŸŠ Tangerine Red Heart Soft Yarn by Dawn Fischer

Better than Bath's Choice

I'll start by saying I'm a bit of a yarn snob and prefer premium artisanal brands that add to the aesthetic pleasure of knitting. However, this project is for a group of hats for a large group of boys... And so I needed economy, durability and easy washability. So, remembering the stiff cardboard feel of everything made out of Redheart for me as a kid (things I never liked wearing lol), the idea of using Redheart yarn was now ALL amazing. This company has definitely upped their game as even their Supersaver yarn felt a lot softer than I remember. And Redheart Soft is better than the popular Vanna's Choice yarn. It feels softer, has better value, and most importantly, doesn't chip when you work fast like it always did when working with Vanna's stuff. Redheart Soft gives you 5 ounces/256 yards per skein, while Vanna's selection of skeins is only 3.5 ounces/170 yards. At the major craft stores, Redheart Soft costs about a dollar more (which I don't find unreasonable for all the extra footage), but here at Revain they seem to be about the same price. So buyers beware! Redheart Soft is a much better yarn choice.
