This is a cute well built toy. It's perfect for my 2 year old to learn how to maneuver the figures in the slot and then have fun pushing them down the slide. The shapes have a matte texture to help them cling to the wood and not push through immediately without effort. My kid loves that she can put them all in the slots and then slide them in. I wish there was a door on the shaft so items could be stored inside. These pieces keep getting mixed up with their blocks etc and separated from the wood, making it really useless until it's found. My 4 year old doesn't care because it's too easy. The age range for this toy is 4-8 years old, but 2-4 seems more appropriate.
